Who is responsible
Christian Reil Reil IT Dienstleistungen Knorrestr. 9 20099 Hamburg, Germany support@walkary.app
What we collect
Your account details (name and email address from your sign-in provider), your dog’s profile and photo, and the walks you record: start and end times, route, distance, duration, elevation and sniff stops.
Location
Walkary uses your location only while a walk is running — including when your phone is locked or the app is in the background, so the route stays complete. Tracking stops when you end the walk. The route is saved to the walk so you can look at it later.
Signing in
You sign in with your Apple or Google account. We receive your name, email address and an account ID from that provider. We never see your password.
Where data is stored
Our servers run on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany. Your walks are stored in a database operated by Supabase in Ireland. Both process data on our behalf under data processing agreements, within the EU. Data is transferred encrypted.
Sharing
Your walks are visible only to you. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else.
Subscriptions
Purchases of Walkary Plus are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives an app user ID and your purchase history, never your payment details.
This website
walkary.app is delivered through Amazon CloudFront. When you visit, your IP address and browser details are processed briefly to deliver the page and keep it secure. The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and loads no content from other websites.
Legal basis and retention
We process your data to provide the app you signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to run the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your data is kept until you delete your account, then removed permanently.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data at any time by writing to support@walkary.app. You can also delete your account in the app under Profile → Settings. You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
